Volunteer
with us

Volunteer with us and meet new people, learn new skills, and build your confidence. Whether you have a few hours or days a week, we’re grateful for any and all help we receive to help us achieve our mission or reducing waste and supporting our community. Use the contact form or download our volunteer form using the links below to get in touch about opportunities with us.

Help out with our events and workshops, from one-off events to regular public workshops, we are looking for volunteers to help us deliver inspiring events with sustainability at their heart.

Our Repair Cafe’s run every Friday 11am-1pm. These are events where members of the public can come along with their damaged or broken items – clothing, accessories, textiles, and electronic devices – and receive help fixing them.

We’re looking for volunteers to help out each week or alternate weeks to lend their existing sewing skills, or to help us coordinate these events in general.

Mending volunteers – meeting members of the public and helping them fix their belongings. The aim of these events is to not only repair items but to show others how to do it themselves. Sewing volunteers will be expected to show people simple hand sewing or basic use of a sewing machine, or advise on fixing hems, adjusting clothes, etc.

General volunteers – meeting-and-greeting members of the public, managing the queue, signing people in, and asking them to complete a feedback survey after they have been seen. These events are run on a donation-basis for those who can afford to make one, so we also check if people are happy and willing to donate to us.
