Stamp-Printed Fabrics Workshop
In this brand new 3-hour workshop, you will learn the creative technique of stamp-making
This workshop is one in a series of four running every Wednesday evening from 9th to the 30th November. Each of these workshops can be booked individually for £25 or book a discounted space on all 4 workshops for £85.
In each session you will create an array of beautiful art through the techniques of marbling, stamp making, and mono printing, which you’ll then combine into your own hand-bound book in the final session..
These workshops are for ages 16 and over, and are for people of all abilities and skill levels, so newbies are welcome! These sessions are easy, relaxed, social and fun.
Marbling: Wednesday 9th November, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Join us for this messy, creative, relaxing and wonderful workshop creating beautiful marbling.
Marbled paper is not only beautiful, but it is useful. You can use it to make greetings cards, make a collage for your wall as well as a multitude of paper craft projects! During the workshop you will be given a demonstration on the many ways you can create a beautiful marbled image before being let loose to play and experiment yourself! We use water thickened with seaweed, so you can create very intricate patterns.
Stamp-Printed Fabrics: Wednesday 16th November, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Join us for this messy, creative, relaxing and wonderful workshop creating your own stamps and beautiful patterned fabric. During the workshop you will be shown an easy techniques to make stamps and how to print with them to make a beautiful design on fabric.
Monoprinting: Wednesday 23rd November, 5:30pm-8:30pm
This workshop will give you chance discover monoprinting and find out what a rewarding but easy process it is!
During this workshop you will be shown many techniques to create beautiful and unique monoprints. We will make prints from an array of textures including samples from nature.
Bookbinding: Wednesday 30th November, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Join us for this bookbinding session where you will make your very own A5 fabric covered, hand sewn notebook!
During the workshop we will go through a step-by-step process to make the books from start to finish. If you have joined the previous sessions, we will use some of your marbled paper, monoprinted and stamped fabric and paper to create this book so please bring these along with you.
