This rental service is made possible thanks to funding through the Scottish Government’s Community Climate Asset Fund (CCAF) which was awarded to the Edinburgh Remakery in January 2021, enabling us to purchase 5 new singer sewing machines to encourage sharing of resources and sustainable practices such as mending clothing.

The CCAF is Scottish Government fund, administered by Keep Scotland Beautiful. 279 community-based organisations from across Scotland have been awarded more than £3.2 million of funding to tackle climate change through the CCAF fund.
