Donations of IT Equipment
The Edinburgh Remakery is able to accept donations of IT equipment from individuals and businesses. We can accept donations of laptops, tablets, iPads, PCs, smart phones, cables, chargers, and routers. We are not able to accept monitor screens under 21″ in size, printers of any kind, or general household electrical goods, such as toasters or kettles.
Please note that we also no longer accept any donations of furniture or homewares.
The safety of our customers and staff members is a top priority. To ensure your health and safety we have implemented some changes to our donations procedures. Please read these procedures and view the poster below before bringing along goods to donate.
At this time, Leith Walk is undergoing major road works which means there is no parking directly outside of the Remakery. If you are bringing items to us by car, you can park in the loading area at the foot of Leith Walk for drop-offs; it’s a coned off parking zone and the Remakery is around 200 metres or so up from there on the left hand side. For larger donations, you can also park in the Logistics Hub (just a bit further up from the coned off area on the Walk) and one of the tramworks Logistic Officers will be able to help bring the items up to us – please contact the Logistics Hub Supervisor directly to let them know you are coming and will require assistance by calling 07834345708.
If you’re a business with IT equipment to donate, please visit our Free IT Equipment Disposal Service information page here.
Thank you all in advance for your generous donations, and for your understanding and compliance of the above measures.
