Draughts can not only make your home uncomfortable, they can also cost you a lot of money if you’re cranking up the heating to compensate. This Learn to Sew - Make your own Draught Excluder workshop will teach you how to make your very own bespoke and eco-conscious excluder for your door or window, to keep your home warm and cosy.

If you have never tried your hand at sewing then this is also an excellent project to start with! You’ll learn how to use a sewing machine to execute simple tasks with support and help you every step of the way, and plenty of opportunities to practice the basic sewing skills you've learned.

In this workshop you’ll learn:
- To make a customised sewing pattern
- How to choose and cut fabric dependent on the sewing project needs
- To set up and use a sewing machine (options to sew by hand if preferred)
- Some handy tips in how to create an eco-friendly and sustainable filling
- To set, fill and finish your draught excluder ready to take home! (these draught excluders also make excellent presents!)

These workshops are for people of all abilities and skill levels, so newbies are welcome! All materials, equipment, and tools will be provided - although you are welcome to bring along your own fabric to use for your draught excluder if you like - as well as all-important teas and coffees to keep those creative juices flowing.
