Alex Bakes, the Edinburgh Remakery and Bookbinder Cass Barron join forces to bring you a recipe book making workshop with an upcycling twist!

Inject some creativity into your weekend and learn to make your very own upcycled recipe book.

We’ll provide everything you need to create a personalised, hand-bound book, including decorative papers, funky fabric, recipe cards and handy page dividers to make your book functional and fabulous!

A great opportunity to get creative in good company and leave with a book you can start collecting all your favourite recipes in straight away – makes for a great personal project or a gift for someone special.

About Alex Bakes

Alex Bakes by Breadshare is an exciting new space based at The Cornerstone Centre at St Johns in the heart of Edinburgh, find them on the corner of Princes Street and Lothian Road, alongside the One World Shop.

Alex Bakes is dedicated to Alex who works in their bakery. Alex is diagnosed with ASD, but this doesn’t hold him back in the kitchen! He’s a star and makes most of their packaged treats, which are all available to try and buy in-store.

Visit them for their award winning bread and brand new range of bakery products! Alex Bakes provides a hub for genuinely healthier takeaway options with fresh salads homemade by their team and options for all dietary requirements. You can also pick up breadmaking kits, bread bags, handmade utensils and eco-cups.

Breadshare is a social enterprise dedicated to spreading information on the health benefits of real bread, and making it accessible to all.


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Concessionary Discount Information 

We are able to offer a maximum of two concession spaces per workshop which are available on a first come first serve basis. If they do not appear in the ticket selection section, they have already been sold. Concession prices are applicable if you are a receiving benefits, unemployed, or over the age of 60. Proof of eligibility where possible will be required when attending the workshop.

Workshop Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds

Should you wish to cancel or make any changes to your workshop booking then please phone us on 0131 629 9358.

You may cancel with a full refund five or more working days before the course or workshop start date. For cancellations made five or fewer working days before the event, no refund or changes to a booking can be made.

We may be able to offer you a place on an equivalent course or workshop instead of a refund if we are notified up to five working days before the course or workshop start date, and if there is availability.

In the event that a workshop is cancelled, we will offer you the choice to transfer your space to the next available workshop, a workshop of your choosing, or offer you a full refund. You will be informed of cancellations at least three days before the event.

Health and Safety

If you have any medical conditions which may affect your ability to carry out certain tasks within the workshop, then we advise that you seek advice from your GP prior to booking. Please also inform us of any medical conditions prior to the start of the workshop.

Photography and Filming

We may at times record or photograph workshops for use in marketing and publications linked to the Edinburgh Remakery. Disruption of workshops will be kept to an absolute minimum. If you would like to know more, please email steph@edinburghremakery.org.uk.
